With the start of placement season for 2023-24, final placement activities have kick started at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). Four students of MBA Agribusiness from School of Business Studies, PAU, have been selected for final placement in Management Trainee Program of Reliance Retail Ltd. at an annual package of Rs 5 lacs. The students, namely Mr Harpreet, Mr Bhupesh Sharma, Mr Gurpujan Singh Bains and Mr Gokulnath V have been selected by Reliance Retail.
Dr Khushdeep Dharni, Associate Director, University Counseling and Placement Guidance Cell (UCPGC), informed that these four students have bagged final placement offer in third semester only and are likely to pass out in July 2024. He stated: “Under the aegis of Directorate of Students’ Welfare, University Counselling and Placement Guidance Cell is making continuous efforts to ensure that maximum number of students land up with a final placement offer before passing out from the University.” He shared that UCPGC was working proactively for personality development of the students and organizing sessions on resume writing and interview skills on regular basis.
Dr Ramandeep Singh, Director, School of Business Studies (SBS), congratulated the students for getting the placements. He stated that School of Business Studies was actively organizing activities for MBA and MBA (AB) students for honing them as future managers. He lauded the efforts of Placement Committee of SBS and Management Science Association (MSA) in this regard.
Dr Nirmal Singh Jaura, Director Students’ Welfare, congratulated the students and wished them success in their corporate endeavours. He reiterated the commitment of directorate to make the PAU students job-ready.
