National president of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that those who levelled fake allegations of the Guru Granth Sahib’s sacrilege stand nowhere. Vote percentage of the party has increased.
Following DSGMC members and members of Delhi unit of the Akali Dal honoured Harsimrat Kaur Badal for winning the Lok Sabha election from Bhatinda and him for winning Ferozpur Lok Sabha Seat Sukhbir Singh Badal said that in Punjab during Lok Sabha election Congress and other parties had targeted the Shiromani Akali Dal only.
The Congress and other parties levelled allegations against us that we have sacrilege the Guru Granth Sahib. This did to tarnish the image of Akali Dal. But the Guru has given decision in the favour of Akali Dal and those levelled allegations were ruined. In comparison to 2017 the vote percentage of Akali Dal has increased by seven per cent.
The Akali Dal national president said that in 2017 assembly elections, the Akali Dal had secured just 30 per cent votes while in the Lok Sabha elections it secured 37 per cent votes. Vote percentage of Congress has come down. He said in 2017 the Congress had secured 59 lakh votes though in Lok Sabha election 2019 the Congress secured 47 lakh votes. In 2017 the Akali Dal had secured 51 lakh votes but in 2019 Lok Sabha election it was voted 55 lakh votes.
He said that people have seen the election performance of those who tried to smear the image of Akali Dal by erecting Bargadi Morcha.
Sunil Jakhar was on front in this unsuccessful effort. Sukhpal Singh Khaira also made public the Bargadi sacrilege for getting benefit. The God almighty defeated them in the elections. He said that security amounts of Jawarke, Simranjit Singh Mann and Khaira were forfeited.
Sukhbir said that Akali Dal is not a party of any individual. It is representative of the Sikh community and Almighty has protected the party in elections.
Speaking on this occasion DSGMC president and national spokesman of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that party leadership had performed ardass while going for the elections. God has listened their ardaas and the election results were slap on the faces of those who levelled fake allegations of sacrilege (be-adbi).
The Congress tried to misguide the people by taking Rahul Gandhi a family member of killer of Sikhs to Bargadi. But electorates slept on the faces of their faces by voting to the Akali Dal candidates as they knew the Congress party that had insulted thousands of Guru Granth Sahibs in the past. “We congratulate Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal for their victory in the elections. He said that Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Sukhbir performed ardaas praying that culprits of sacrilege should go to jail.
Sirsa thanked to those member s of the Delhi unit of the Akali Dal for their contribution to the election campaigning.. DSGMC member Ranjit Kaur, Kulwant Singh Baath, Harmanjit Singh, Bhupinder Singh Bullar, Atma Singh Lubana, Jagdip Singh Kahlon, Paramjit Singh Rana, Jasmin Singh Neki, Harjit Singh Pappa, Raminder Singh Sweeta, Vikram Singh Rohini, Nishan Singh Maan and SAD workers etc were present on the function.
