Women must be more mobile, visible, fearless and interactive in order to become effective leaders. Women are born managers at home, office or any other field and fit for governance.
“Woman to be accessible, visible, don’t get pressured, find solutions, and be ready to move. Feminism isn’t about making women stronger. They are already strong. It is about changing the way the world perceives that strength “Said Dr Kiran Bedi, Former lt. governor of Puducherry & super cop while speaking at an interactive session ‘Fearless Governance & Leadership ‘ organised FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) the apex body of business women in the country.
“I wanted to connect with the people that forced me to join the police service. About my Five year tenure as , the office of Lt. Governor of Puducherry. I changed various habits and brought new ideas as the Lt. Governor that enabled me to exceptionally lead the public office “ said Dr Bedi.
Recalling how people called her a mother/sister during her years as the Lt. Governor of Puducherry she said establishing a human contact is what makes a woman special. And she called upon women to use it as a transformation tool in their leadership.
Concluding her presentation, Dr. Bedi said once she became fearless, her tenure as a Lt. Governor of Puducherry became limitless she claimed.
Answering a question from the audience, she expressed that economical empowerment of women is the catalyst of transformation in the society.
“If one woman/girl empowers 10 women/girls a revolution of great order would get started” she added.
“As FLO is a leading platform that stands as a beacon for women’s progress in India. We are dedicated to supporting women in their professional and entrepreneurial pursuits, advocating for gender equality, and fostering an inclusive environment where women can thrive. “ said Dr Aarti Gupta, past chairperson , FICCIFLO, Kanpur chapter while speaking on the occasion.
