Won’t hesitate to approach the court, if no action is taken against Bibi Ranjit Kaur: Inder Mohan Singh

Inder Mohan Singh, President of Dashmesh Sewa Society (Regd) and former member of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) accused the DSGMC management for not taking action against its unqualified member. He said that Bibi Ranjit Kaur was elected as DSGMC member in 2021 by filing wrong documents whereas she could not contest Gurdwara elections being an employee of the DSGMC.
Mr Singh said that at the time of filing nomination, Bibi Ranjit Kaur declared herself as an employee of Guru Harkrishan Public School and filed papers regarding acceptance of her resignation from that school. Whereas as per information received, Bibi Ranjeet Kaur claimed to have submitted resignation to her school though email on March 31, 2021 after 8 p.m but surprisingly her resignation was accepted on the same night. Mr Inder Mohan Singh asked how the Chairman, Manager and Principal of the school were present in late night hours on that day ?
He said that as per rules, the resignation of any school employee is accepted by the School Management Committee (SMC) after obtaining the approval of the Director of Education (DoE), Govt. of NCT of Delhi. But in the case of Bibi Ranjit Kaur neither her resignation was accepted by the SMC nor approved by the Director of Education (DoE). As such, this Bibi is still an employee of the DSGMC and is on unauthorized absence from her duty since April 1, 2021.
Mr Inder Mohan Singh said that the DSGMC management is adopting delay tactics to take action against Bibi Ranjit Kaur and just for an eyewash she has been issued a recovery notice of Rs. 88 Lakh for her illegally holding the membership of DSGMC from March 2017 to January 2021 as per Court orders.
Mr Singh said that he has asked the DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka, General Secretary Jagdip Singh Kahlon and General Manager through his letter to expel Bibi Ranjit Kaur from Executive Board, cancel her membership, immediate recovery of Rs.88 lakh and to immediately stop giving member’s fund to her. A copy of this letter is also sent to the Director Gurdwara Election for appropriate action. Mr Singh said that if no immediate action is taken against this Bibi, he will not hesitate to approach the appropriate Court of Law.
