Governor Wes Moore and Lt. Governor Aruna Miller today officially filed for re-election with the Maryland State Board of Elections, reaffirming their commitment to building an economy that works for every Marylander and continuing the progress made over the past three years.
“We are excited about the results that we have seen just in the first three years. We’ve got more work to do,” Governor Moore said while filing at the State Board of Elections headquarters.
Since taking office, the Moore–Miller Administration has focused on reducing childhood poverty, improving educational outcomes, growing key industries, and modernizing the state government to better serve Marylanders.
Key areas of focus and progress include:
- Targeting permitting and procurement reforms to streamline business growth and reduce red tape.
- Expanding investments in life sciences, IT, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.
- Supporting major private-sector expansions, including AstraZeneca’s investment — the largest in Maryland’s history — reinforcing the state’s position as a global innovation hub.
- Strengthening fiscal responsibility, improving agency accountability, and modernizing government operations.
The Moore–Miller ticket filed one day ahead of the official deadline. Maryland’s primary election is scheduled for June 23, 2026.
“We are proud of the progress Maryland has made,” said Lt. Governor Miller. “And we are committed to continuing the work — expeditiously and responsibly — so that every Marylander can benefit from the progress we’re making.”
