The team of director Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming entertainer January 12 Vidudala, featuring Venkatesh, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles, has commenced its next shooting schedule in Ooty, Tamil Nadu.
Director Anil Ravipudi shared the update on social media, posting a video clip announcing the start of the new schedule.
“The beau𝐎𝐎𝐓𝐘ful schedule begins with my wonderful team. #January12Vidudala #Sankranti2027,” he wrote.
The film’s unit had previously shot in Mysuru last month. According to sources close to the production, all four lead actors were present at the shooting location, where the team also filmed a song.
Actor Sriman, who is part of the film, had earlier expressed his happiness at getting an opportunity to perform in a song choreographed by renowned dance choreographer Brinda after nearly eight years.
“Rocking choreography by the legendary dance master BRINDA. It’s been almost eight years since I got a chance to be a part in her choreography. Thank you DIRECTOR Anil ravipudigaru @AnilRavipudi,” he wrote on X.
The makers recently announced the film’s title as January 12 Vidudala. Before the official title reveal, the project was being referred to by the working titles #VenkyAnil5 and #NKRAR2.
A few days ago, the team also unveiled Venkatesh’s first look as Lieutenant Colonel Venkat Reddy, marking the actor’s completion of 40 years in the film industry.
The poster featured Venkatesh in an Indian Army camouflage uniform, wearing sunglasses and a scarf while standing beside a rugged SUV. The look presented him as a composed and stern military officer.
According to the character details revealed in the poster, Lt. Colonel Venkat Reddy serves in the Indian Army and specialises in counter-terrorism and hostage negotiation. Army insignia and a crossed-swords emblem in the backdrop further established the film’s military setting.
The pairing of Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram is expected to be one of the film’s key attractions, with their contrasting personalities and on-screen camaraderie adding to Anil Ravipudi’s signature style of entertainment.
Produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, the film is presented by Suresh Productions, Archana and Zee Studios. Sources close to the production have indicated that filming is progressing at a brisk pace, with the project being mounted on a grand scale.
Keerthy Suresh stars opposite Venkatesh, while Krithi Shetty is paired with Kalyan Ram.
The film’s technical team includes GV Prakash Kumar as music composer, Sameer Reddy as cinematographer, Tammiraju as editor and AS Prakash as production designer. S Krishna is the executive producer.
The film is scheduled around the Sankranti 2027 festive season, as indicated by the hashtag accompanying the director’s latest post.
