Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt. Gen (Retd.) Gurmit Singh unveiled literary pictorial art work dedicated to Veer Bal Diwas at Raj Bhawan, Dehradun, in the sacred memory of supreme sacrifice and martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji and Mata Gujri,
the revered mother of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, authored by Punjab based Nature Artist & Heritage Promoter Harpreet Sandhu which highlights sanctity and historic significance of the three Shrines i.e. Gurdwara Thanda Burj, where Mata Gujri Ji and the Sahibzadas were kept in the extreme cold winter in year 1705,
before their martyrdom, Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib where the younger Sahibzadas, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, were bricked alive and Gurdwara Jyoti Sarup, where the younger Sahibzadas, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, along with Mata Gujri Ji, were cremated after their martyrdom, situated in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.
Governor Uttarakhand Lt. Gen Gurmit Singh lauded the noble and visionary initiative by Punjab’s eminent Author Harpreet Sandhu for emphasizing the importance and promoting the historical and religious landmarks having relevance with Veer Bal Diwas and an dignified visual tribute to the indomitable spirit of martyrdom of young Sahibzadas and serves as a reminder of the values of courage, resilience, and commitment to dharma,
exemplified by the younger Sahibzadas for faith and righteousness and described the Harpreet Sandhu’s literary pictorial art work to be of immense interest for the citizens of Uttarakhand and society across the nation.
