Punjabi folk dance “Bhangra” has been inculded in the training schedule of the ongoing Surjit Hockey Coaching Camp, in progress here at local Surjit Hockey Stadium, Burlton Park.
According to Iqbal Singh Sandhu, Secretary of the Surjit Hockey Society that on the completion of 89th day of the ongoing hockey coaching camp under age group of 14 & 19 years, society has started punjabi folk dance “Bhangra” as a source of exercise which is an excellent substitution to the gym.
Bhangra has been included in the training schedule of the campers with the mindset to teach younger kids bhangra to help young children to stay healthy and connected to the their culture of Bhangra. sandhu added.
