The Shiromani Akali Dal president Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal declared here today that his party rejects totally and ab initio (ਮੁੱਢੋਂ ਹੀ) the meeting convened by Kejriwal’s puppets on Anand Marriage Act “yet another dangerous mischief of anti-Sikh forces using the Punjab CM and some rootless so-called Sikh leaders as stooges.
In a statement here, the party president S Badal said this party regarded this mischief as “the Punjab govt’s brazen arrogance in arrogating to itself the right to represent the Sikh quom in any matter relating to our religious faith, Sikh Maryada, Sikh practices and Sikh way of life including the sacred Anand Karaj “
He said that the meeting called ostensibly to recommend amendments to Anand Marriage Act is a part of a continuing deep rooted the conspiracy to spread confusion among the Sikhs even about their day-to-day religious practices and Sikh way of life.
Mr Badal said that Bhagwant Mann must stop acting as a tool in the hands of “non-Sikh and anti-Sikh forces and elements in Delhi who control his strings. Will they allow the Sikhs tio interfere in their own religious affairs?” He asked Mr Mann.
The Akali chief said that only the elected religious representatives of Sikh Quom are authorised and competent to suggest any amendments to any law or Act pertaining to our Sikh practices.
“Is AAP a Sikh party? Is Kejriwal or his party a representative body of the Khalsa Panth ? Does it represent the Sikh quom? What are its credentials and claim to speak on behalf of the Khalsa Panth on our religious matters?” asked Mr Badal, adding that AAP is headed by an anti-Sikh non-Sikh and has a non-practising Sikh as its CM who publicly ridicules the sacred Kakaars bequeathed to us by Dasmesh Pita. Neither he nor his non/Sikh party has a representation in the supreme elected religious parliament of the Sikhs, the SGPC.”
Mr Badal asked Bhagwant Mann if he is even qualified to contest for membership of SGPC or seek a religious mandate from the devout Sikh masses to represent them?
About the “Panthic personalities” invited by him, Mr Badal said that a vast majority of them have repeatedly been rejected by Sikh Quom whenever they contested against SAD candidates.
The Akali president further said that after Bhagwant Mann and anti-Sikh masters’ failure to grab control of SGPC on the pretext of telecast of sacred Gurbani from Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, “they have now thought of this fresh mischief. “
Mr Badal said that those attending this meeting are now a party to conspiracies against Sikh Quom and do not represent Sikhs or the SGPC.
“The SGPC is the only body competent under Nehru Master Tara Singh Pact to make any recommendations with regard to the religious practices such as the sacred Anand Karaj and its constitutional validation process.
SAD therefore rejects as a farce the meeting convened by Kejriwal’s stooges.”
