Amritsar, December 2, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President S. Harjinder Singh Dhami today criticized the move of S. Manjinder Singh Sirsa and said that it is unfortunate that he resigned as the President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and joined BJP.
SGPC President said that the Sikh Sangat of Delhi had given big honour to S. Sirsa and the party (Shiromani Akali Dal) made him president of the DSGMC.
He said that although S. Sirsa lost in the DSGMC election this year, the SGPC, the foremost body of Sikhs, nominated him as a member of the DSGMC.
“Sirsa’s move has sparked outrage among the Sikh community. Due to three black agri-marketing laws introduced by the BJP, farmers had to sit on the streets for one year, during which nearly 700 farmers lost their lives. By joining such a party, Sirsa has hurt the feelings of farmers as well as Sikhs”, said S. Harjinder Singh Dhami.
S. Dhami asked Sirsa to rectify his mistake and immediately leave BJP and return to his party.
