Sikh boy forced to remove Turban – Majithia demands passage of resolution against Kamal Nath govt

Chandigarh, March 4, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

Former minister Bikram Singh Majithia today demanded the Vidhan Sabha pass a resolution condemning the Congress party led Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh for causing acute mental agony and humiliation to an eighteen year old Sikh boy by forcing him to take off his turban during the class twelve board examinations.

Taking up this sensitive issue during zero hour in the Vidhan Sabha, Mr Bikram Majithia while demanding passage of a house resolution to condemn the incident, said Congress President Sonia Gandhi should also dismiss Kamal Nath for being party to this act.

He said the Sikh boy who was from Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh had given a statement that he was humiliated in this manner as part of a policy of the MP Education Board.

“It is condemnable that the same man – Kamal Nath, who is an accused in the 1984 massacre, and is responsible for rendering hundreds of Sikh farmers homeless in MP, is behind such reprehensible measures”, Mr Majithia added.
