SGPC Chief forms 7-member Committee to probe unfortunate incidents at Harmandar Sahib

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has formed a seven-member committee with regards to recent unfortunate incidents that took place at Sri Harmandar Sahib in which a person threw Gutka Sahib of Gurbani into holy sarovar and another person jumped over the safety grill to commit sacrilege.

SGPC President S. Harjinder Singh Dhami issued orders at his office with regards to formation of this committee.

SGPC assistant secretary media S. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas said the committee members include granthi of Sri Harmandar Sahib Giani Gurminder Singh, head of Damdami Taksal Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, head of Shiromani Panth Akali Buddha Dal Baba Balbir Singh, SGPC senior vice-president S. Raghujit Singh Virk, SGPC members Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka and S. Gurcharan Singh Grewal and prominent Sikh scholar Dr. Inderjit Singh Gogoani. He said SGPC secretary S. Mahinder Singh Ahli has been appointed as the coordinator of this committee.
