SAD urges ECI to take note of ‘Paid News’ and ‘Fake Opinion Polls’, Dr. Cheema terms it a violation

Chandigarh, January 22, 2022 (Yes Punjab News)
Senior SAD leader and former Punjab Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema Saturday urged the Election Commission of India to take note of ‘Paid News’ and ‘Fake Opinion Polls.’

Cheema today took to Twitter to express his party’s stand on paid news and fake opinion polls.

The Akali leader said the Election Commission should stop paid news and fake opinion polls on electronic and social media.

He said, “On one side, parties are still in the process of finalizing nominees but on the other side fake surveyors have started declaring results. This is a violation of the spirit of model code.”
