The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today filed a complaint with the Election Commission asserting PSPCL chief engineer Jatinder Singh, who was the real brother in law of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Adampur legislator Balkar Singh, for openly canvassing in favour of the AAP candidate in the Jalandhar parliamentary by poll.
Asserting that this was a grave misconduct on part of the government employee and instructions issued by the Election Commission, SAD Legal Wing president Arshdeep Singh Kler said the PSPCL chief engineer was misusing his position and pressuring voters to vote in favour of the AAP candidate. Mr Kler urged the Election Commission in the complaint to suspend the officer immediately and even submitted proof in the form of pictures to substantiate the party charge.
