Television actor Rithvik Dhanjani says finishing runner-up in the 15th season of the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi has left him feeling grateful and proud, even as Avinash Mishra claimed the winner’s trophy.
Reflecting on his journey on the show, Rithvik said the experience once again pushed him to confront his fears and test his limits.
“To be able to challenge myself every single time, to be able to overcome my fears over and over again and to be able to perform the way I did,” he said.
For Rithvik, Khatron Ke Khiladi has always demanded more than physical strength. He said he has consistently challenged himself both mentally and physically and tried to give his best in every season.
He also spoke warmly about his final competition with Avinash, with the two separated by only a few seconds in their final timings. Rather than viewing the narrow margin as a disappointment, Rithvik said he was happy to compete against a performer he considers a formidable rival.
“I couldn’t be happier than what I am right now to be competing with Avinash because he is a force to reckon with,” he said, adding that he felt immense pride and affection for his fellow contestant.
Rithvik acknowledged that the difference came down to seconds and said he believed this year belonged to Avinash.
“I’m just grateful that I am a part of the ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ family and I have been a part of the ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ family for the past decade,” he said.
Calling the show “home”, Rithvik said finishing among the top performers continues to give him confidence.
“It feels great to still be at the top of the game. It makes me feel good about myself. I’m proud of myself,” he said.
Rithvik made his acting debut in 2009 with Bandini and gained wider recognition with Pavitra Rishta. He later found success with Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani.
His career expanded into hosting, with shows including Yeh Hai Aashiqui, India’s Next Superstars, Super Dancer, India’s Best Dramebaaz and So You Think You Can Dance. He also made his web debut with I Don’t Watch TV and subsequently appeared in projects including XXX and Cartel. More recently, he featured in Half Love Half Arranged Season 2 alongside Karan Wahi and Maanvi Gagroo.
