Amritsar, September 15, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Punjab Government will organise an NRI Meet in Amritsar on September 23 to address the issues and grievances of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) from the Majha region.

The meet will begin at 10 am at Hotel Le Méridien, Amritsar, with NRI Affairs Minister Dr Ravjot Singh attending as the chief guest.

NRIs from the four Majha districts — Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Pathankot and Tarn Taran — will participate in the event. They will have an opportunity to place their grievances before the concerned officials, with necessary action to be initiated on the spot for their resolution.

Deputy Commissioner Amritsar Dalwinderjit Singh said senior officials of the NRI Affairs Department, along with administrative officers from all four districts, would attend the meet.

He said the initiative would provide NRIs a direct platform to raise their concerns with the government and facilitate timely action on their complaints.

The Deputy Commissioner appealed to NRIs belonging to the Majha region to attend the meet and present their issues before the officials concerned.

He said the Punjab Government was committed to ensuring prompt and effective resolution of matters concerning the NRI community.
