Punjab Education Dept gives jobs to 65 on Compassionate Grounds, Singla hands over Appointment Letters

The State Education Department has given jobs to 65 candidates on compassionate grounds as one of their family members had died while in service of the department.

Handing over the appointment letters in his office at Punjab Civil Secretariat on Wednesday evening, Mr.Vijay Inder Singla, Education Minister Punjab said that the department is committed to the welfare of its employees.

He said giving jobs to dependent family members of deceased employees should not just be treated as a departmental activity but should be taken up as a moral responsibility. So, he has directed for an early disposal of all such cases.

While handing over the appointment letters to the new recruits, he exhorted them to work with sincerity and dedication.

The Education Department has provided jobs to 01 Punjabi and 01 Science Mistress, 23 clerks, 22 library restorers, 4 peons, 7 chowkidars and 7 sweepers.
