Sh. Anurag Verma, IAS after taking over the charge of Principal Secretary, Department of Science, Technology & Environment, took a priority to hear grievances/suggestions of various Industrial Associations. He interacted through video conference with the representatives of CII and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries on 27.05.2021 in which Er. Krunesh Garg, Member Secretary and other Officers of the Board, Sh. Bhavdeep Sardana, Chairman of CII, Sh. Karan Gilhotra, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Sh. Rupinder S Sachdeva, Board Member, other office bearers and members of the Associations were present.
Sh. Karan Gilhotra and Sh. Bhavdeep Sardana appreciated the steps taken by the PPCB under ease of doing business to facilitate the entrepreneurs. Various issues of the Industries pertaining to the Punjab Pollution Control Board were deliberated in the meeting.
The Principal Secretary said that the aim of the Govt. is not only to ensure environment protection but also to create congenial environment for the Industries to grow. He further informed that the purpose of this meeting is to understand the problems of the Industries and to redress the same by improving the functioning of the Department.
He shared his e-mail Id as well as mobile no. with the associations to submit their suggestions in writing and assured to take action on the same on priority.
