Bharatiya Janata Party state president Sunil Jakhar said that the joining of Advocate H.S. Phoolka, a widely respected personality of the Sikh community who has always fought fearlessly for justice, reflects that today the false narratives created by opponents against the BJP are collapsing in the face of truth.
Speaking to the media during the occasion of Advocate H.S. Phoolka joining the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Jakhar said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP-led central government has worked with sincerity for the upliftment of the Sikh community. It is because of these efforts that leaders of high integrity like Advocate H.S. Phoolka are associating with the party.
In a social media post, he wrote:
“Advocate H.S. Phoolka, who fearlessly fought for justice for the Sikh community and is respected by every Sikh, has joined the BJP today. The association of such a personality with the BJP shows that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party is sincerely working for Sikhism and the Sikh community, and the false narratives created by opponents are breaking in the face of truth. Heartfelt welcome to Advocate H.S. Phoolka on joining the party.”
Sunil Jakhar further said that while people may hold different opinions within the community, there is universal respect for Advocate H.S. Phoolka. The entire society respects him because he prioritized justice over personal interests, even stepping down from his position when necessary, without backing down.
He fought a long battle to secure justice for the victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. On the other hand, the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi reopened those cases and worked to ensure punishment for the accused.
He added that Advocate H.S. Phoolka will now be able to contribute more meaningfully for the welfare of the community, and he extended a warm welcome to him into the party.
