Mr Sunnyrudh Singh, a Ph.D. scholar from the Department of Agricultural Extension Education, College of Agriculture, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has brought laurels to the university by winning the “Best Paper Award” at the National Conference on “Health, Gender and the Environment: Intersections Towards Meeting the SDGs,” organized by the Institute of Home Economics, University of Delhi, on April 4, 2025.
Sunnyrudh was the sole representative from PAU at the conference and stood out for his impactful presentation titled, “AI in Agriculture: Sowing Seeds of Innovation for a Smarter Future.” His paper emphasized the integration of artificial intelligence into modern agricultural practices to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and resilience in farming systems.
He is currently pursuing his doctoral research under the guidance of Dr Anil Sharma, Deputy Director (TV), Communication Centre, PAU.
Congratulating the student for this notable achievement, Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, appreciated Sunnyrudh’s innovative approach and contribution to emerging agricultural technologies.
