Mr Gopal Krishan, an M.Sc. student of Plant Breeding and Genetics, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), bagged the “Best Poster Presentation Award” during the International Conference on “Strategies for Global Food and Nutritional Security, Sustainability and Wellness,” held at CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar from November 4-6.
The PAU student, working under the guidance of Dr Shayla Bindra, Pulse Breeder, presented the paper entitled “Phenotypic and molecular evaluation of advanced backcross lines of chickpea (Cicer arietinum).”
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; and Dr VS Sohu, Head, Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, congratulated the student and his Advisor for this achievement.
