Dr. Salwinder Singh Dhaliwal, former Principal Soil Scientist and Incharge of the ICAR-Micronutrients & Heavy Metals Project at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, has achieved a remarkable global milestone by securing the 2nd position in Plant Nutrition research, as per the Scholar GPS 2025 global rankings.
Dr. Dhaliwal, a distinguished soil scientist, has also been recognized among the Stanford-Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List (2024), securing a global ranking of 89,766 across multiple disciplines. His contributions in micronutrient management, soil health, and sustainable agriculture have been widely acknowledged, reinforcing PAU’s global research impact.
A recipient of the International Zinc Award (IZA-FAI) in 2018, Dr. Dhaliwal has previously served as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Florida (USA) in 2009 and was honored with PAU’s Overall Excellent Scientist Award in 2019. His leadership roles include serving as a National Councillor for the Indian Society of Soil Science (2019-2022) and an Honorary Member of the International Zinc Association (IZA).
Dr. Dhaliwal has been an active contributor to the global scientific community, with significant research publications on platforms such as Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and ORCID. His commitment to soil health, plant nutrition, and sustainable farming practices continues to inspire the next generation of agricultural scientists.
