Passing of Waqf Board Bill Will Create Tension in Country’s Social Structure: MP Aujla

Amritsar, April 3, 2025 (Yes Punjab News)

MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, while coming out of the Parliament today after the passing of the Waqf Board Bill, said that the central government is adopting a dictatorial attitude on the basis of its majority. Passing of the new Waqf Board Bill will create tension in the country’s social structure.

MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that the meeting regarding the Waqf Board Bill started on April 2 and continued till 3 am on March 3. He said that it was being opposed by the Congress because there are many errors in it.

Due to these errors, there will be tension in the country’s social structure, but because the government has more MPs, they have passed it using their power. He said that the BJP has passed it but this is a classification.

The country belongs to everyone and everyone is important for the country. Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians all have full support, but such bills increase tension.

Recently there was tension on Holi and then tension was seen at many places on Eid too. In such a situation, this tension is not good for their future generations. That is why Congress was completely opposing it and demanding that its errors be corrected and amendments be made in it
