Social media personality Orry became emotional while reflecting on his 45-day journey on the stunt-based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’, recalling how his room on the show gradually became a home away from home.
Addressing filmmaker and host Rohit Shetty in a heartfelt social media post, Orry said the room had served multiple purposes during his stay, including as his bedroom, dressing room, dining space, office and even a place where he dealt with emotional breakdowns.
He admitted that the room lacked many of the comforts he was accustomed to, but said he gradually developed an attachment to the space through the daily challenges and experiences of the show.
Orry wrote, “Dear Rohit Ji, For 45 days, this was my bedroom, my dressing room, my dining room, my office, my breakdown room, my clinic, my gym, my psychiatric ward, my spa, my coffee shop, my theatre, my bar .. and involuntarily .. my home.”
Describing the routine, he recalled waking up for early morning calls, dealing with physically exhausting and messy days and returning to his room at night to rest.
“Somewhere between having to wake myself up for the suspiciously early morning call times, convince and force myself to bathe after the very long extensively exhausting cold wet and dirty days, tuck my broken body to bed at night… this room became mine,” he said.
Reflecting on what home meant to him, Orry wrote, “To me home is not a place you get to choose, to me home is the place you lay your head down rest.”
He went on to say that he missed several aspects of his life on the show.
“I miss the mess, I miss the silence, I miss the long walk from the elevator down the corridor passing everyone’s room and hearing all my contestants unwinding, bickering on the phone, laughing, crying or crashing out,” he wrote.
Orry also said he missed the exhaustion and the uncertainty of waking up each day without knowing what challenges awaited him.
“I even miss the person I was inside, but mostly I miss the purpose I had when I lived here,” he added.
Concluding his note, Orry said he had spent much of his time on the show counting down the days until his departure, never imagining that he would eventually miss the place.
“I spent so much time counting down the remaining days in this enclosure never once ever actually imagining I would go on to spend so much time missing it .. even though I only inhabited it for 45 days,” he wrote.
‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’, hosted by Rohit Shetty, airs every Saturday and Sunday on Colors TV. During his stint, Orry took on a series of challenging stunts as he pushed himself beyond his comfort zone.
