Nominating non-Punjabis and big businessmen as RS candidates sheer injustice: Parminder Dhindsa

Chandigarh, March 21, 2022 (Yes Punjab News)
Senior Leader of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) and Former Finance Minister, Sh.  Parminder Singh Dhindsa while strongly opposing the nomination papers of the Aam Aadmi Party for Rajya Sabha said that non-Punjabis, big businessmen and industrialists chosen by Aam Aadmi can never represent Punjab.
Nomination of these people by the Bhagwant Maan led AAP government in Punjab is nothing less than a big fraud done to break the trust shown by Punjabis in the party.  He said that Punjabis have full right to all Punjabi Rajya Sabha seats.
Mr Parminder Singh Dhindsa  AAP’s announced list of  Rajya Sabha candidates includes Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak who are non-Punjabi.  Apart from the eminent cricketer Harbhajan Singh, the other two candidates are big businessmen, he added.
He said that it would have been better if AAP had given representation in the Rajya Sabha to one of the struggling farmers who had come to Delhi after a long struggle and victory.
Mr Dhindsa said that all the MLAs of the Aam Aadmi Party should raise their voice against this decision.
He said that the people of Punjab had shown the trust in the Aam Aadmi Party MLAs who have won this election with an absolute majority and now it was the duty of the MLAs to oppose every anti-Punjab decision and fulfil their duty of being the true representatives of the people of Punjab, asserted Sh. Dhindsa.
Mr Dhindsa said that every decision taken regarding Punjab by the Aam Aadmi Party government is forced upon by the rulers sitting in Delhi.
The decision of AAP to sideline real Punjabis in Rajya Sabha and nominate non-Punjabis and big businessmen is completely against the mandate of the people of the Punjab.
