Actress Nayanthara has joined the cast of Rajinikanth-starrer Dharman, adding another major name to the much-anticipated drama directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.
The production banner, Raaj Kamal Films International, teased a new cast addition through a social media post on Sunday, hinting at the arrival of a personality whose charisma would make an impact.
Marimuthu subsequently welcomed Nayanthara to the project, writing, “Welcome on board mam,” accompanied by heart and hug emojis.
The announcement comes after the filmmaker confirmed in September that the team had completed the film’s third shooting schedule.
Actress Raashii Khanna, who is also playing a key role in Dharman, recently offered a glimpse into the film’s Mysuru schedule by sharing photographs with co-stars Rajinikanth and Ram Pothineni.
In her social media post, Khanna recalled early-morning workouts with Rajinikanth and Ram, temple visits, exploring the city, playing UNO and enjoying Mysuru’s famous dosa during the shoot.
Dharman is backed by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran, with S Disney serving as co-producer. The film is being made under the banners of Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media.
Anirudh is composing the music, while Niketh Bommi is handling cinematography. Pradeep E Raghav is in charge of editing.
Nayanthara and Rajinikanth have previously shared screen space in four Tamil films: Chandramukhi (2005), Kuselan (2008), Darbar (2020) and Annaatthe (2021).
Her addition to Dharman marks another collaboration between the popular stars, further raising interest in the upcoming project.
