Nagar Kirtan dedication to 400th Parkash Purab departs from Gurdawara Patshahi Nauvin, Jind

The Nagar Kirtan dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, today departed from Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Nauvin, Jind, Haryana to the next phase of Bahadurgarh.

Before departure, the ragi jatha connected the sangat with Gurbani Kirtan in a religious programme.

On the occasion of departure of Nagar Kirtan, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member S. Jagsir Singh Mangeana and additional secretary Dr Paramjit Singh Saroa honoured the Panj Pyare Sahiban and Nishanchi Singhs with Guru’s blessing Siropao (robe of honour). Earlier, on arrival of Nagar Kirtan late at night at Jind, the sangat gave a hearty welcome.

There was great enthusiasm among the sangat at the time of departure of Nagar Kirtan from Jind to the next phase.

The sangat showered flowers on the Palki Sahib and paid homage to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

In the state of Haryana, people of all faiths participated in Nagar Kirtan.

At various places along the way, the sangat gave a hearty welcome to the Nagar Kirtan and paid homage to Guru Sahib by presenting Rumala Sahib. The sangat also set up langar at various places.

On this occasion the in-charge of Haryana Sikh Mission S. Mangpreet Singh, S. Malik Singh Cheema, manager Sukhwinder Singh Jind, chief granthi Gurwinder Singh Ratak, S. Jasbir Singh Jassi assistant in-charge Delhi Mission, supervisor Harbhajan Singh and S. Jarnail Singh, S. Paramjit Singh, S. Amarjit Singh, S. Tehal Singh and others were present.
