Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, paid a heartfelt tribute to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh on his Martyrdom Day by staging the powerful and thought-provoking play “Mein Bhagat Singh.”
The event, organized to commemorate the unparalleled courage and revolutionary ideals of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru, was a resounding success.
The students of the MRSPTU Theatre Club delivered an outstanding performance, bringing these iconic freedom fighters to life on stage. The play vividly portrayed the spirit of sacrifice and patriotism, leaving an unforgettable impact on the audience and inspiring the younger generation to embrace the values exemplified by these national heroes.
Directed by renowned theatre artist Mr. Kirti Kirpal and written by acclaimed playwright Dr. Pali Bhupinder Singh, the play served as a fitting homage to Bhagat Singh’s indomitable spirit and his significant contributions to India’s freedom struggle.
Dr. Paramjit Singh, Dean of Student Welfare, applauded the efforts of the Theatre Club and the guidance provided by Mr. Kirti Kirpal. He also acknowledged the key roles played by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur (Cultural Coordinator), Dr. Shaweta Rani, and Dr. Mandeep Kaur, coordinators of the event.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kansal, Vice Chancellor of MRSPTU, and Prof. (Dr.) Sanjiv Aggarwal, Campus Director of GZSCCET, reflected on Bhagat Singh’s revolutionary vision and literary contributions. They lauded the Theatre Club’s exceptional performance and congratulated the entire team for their dedication and creativity.
The Vice Chancellor also extended heartfelt gratitude to the event’s special guest, Mr. Varun Gupta, Managing Director of Hotel Sun City Classic, Bathinda, for his invaluable support in ensuring the success of the event.
