Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar has appealed to the people for the Tarn Taran by-election to support the Bharatiya Janata Party, a party with firm willpower, to strengthen the state’s communal harmony and eliminate corruption and gangster rule.
He was addressing an election rally here today with Haryana’s Naib Singh Saini. He said that diaries recovered from the senior police officer and middlemen arrested by the CBI contain a long list of officers, and as the investigation progresses, its web will reach alao those people who were party to this extortion racket in the state.
Describing corruption as the cancer of society, he said that the central agency CBI has exposed how a senior police officer, who claims zero tolerance against corruption, was indulging in corruption, and now the investigation will go to the bottom to find out for whom the money was being kept.
Sunil Jakhar said it is ridiculous that those who themselves served jail terms in Delhi for scams are talking about making Punjab corruption-free. Commenting on Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Sunil Jakhar said that he has mortgaged the Chief Minister’s chair itself to the Delhiwalas. This is an insult to the people of Punjab who gave him this chair.
Sunil Jakhar said that the statement given by Congress President Raja Warring against the SC community is proof that the leaders of this party have knelt before AAP. Such an irresponsible statement was made only to give hidden benefits to the Aam Aadmi Party and to prevent their own cases from being exposed. Congress has completely failed as the opposition because it has a secret alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party.
On this occasion, he said that Tarn Taran is a constituency with strong panthic sentiments but today no one is talking about justice for the sacrilege incidents. He said that every party did politics on this issue but no one talked about delivering justice.
The state BJP chief said that the BJP government in Haryana has proved by initiating jobs for 1984 riot victims that this party works with good intentions.
Sunil Jakhar said that today there is such fear of gangsterism among the people that even small shopkeepers are receiving threatening calls. He asked the people to think while voting about what kind of society they want.
Commenting on Kejriwal’s statement of ending gangsterism in seven days, he said why did he forget that his government has been in power for the last four years, and what couldn’t be done in four years, how will it happen in seven days.
Commenting on the alleged drama by the state Chief Minister of locking RTO offices, he said that this project of the state government has completely failed and the government should tell how many driving licenses and RCs are pending. Sunil Jakhar appealed to the people to vote and make BJP candidate Harjit Singh Sandhu win for Punjab’s progress, communal harmony, and peace and law and order.
