Modi Govt not concerned about the lives of JEE, NEET aspirants: Brinder Dhillon

Chandigarh, August 27, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

The Punjab Youth Congress under the leadership of state president, Brinder Singh Dhillon on Thursday submitted memorandums to the deputy commissioners throughout state addressing prime minister Narendra Modi to oppose the centre government’s decision to conduct the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) in the month of September.

In a press statement, Dhillon said that at the time when governments around the world are suggesting their people to stay indoor and take precautionary measures to avoid any difficulty, the Modi govt is putting the students in danger by conducting exams. He assured the aspirants and their parents that Youth Congress will stand firm with them.

Dhillon said that youth is the precious wealth for any nation and safeguarding them must be the priority of any govt. but the Modi govt is hell bent on experimenting with the lives of lakhs of students. He said that the schools and colleges are closed due to the pandemic and people are worried about the future of their children.

Accusing Modi govt. of failing to make arrangements in the examination centres, Dhillon said that the govt. is busy playing ‘Taali and Thali’ while people are dying everyday due to Corona. He said that the Chief Minister, Capt. Amarinder Singh has directed the advocate general to file a petition in the court against the decision of Modi govt.

“The Youth Congress will continue to raise the voice of students and youngsters. If the govt does not take its decision back then we will be forced to come out in the streets to make our voice heard to the deaf and dumb govt.” Dhillon said.
