Mansa Police bust interstate Gang of Robbers; 6 Arrested

Dr. Narinder Bhargav, IPS, SSP, Mansa told that 6 members of interstate robbers gang have been arrested who were planning for some big robbery in the vacant place of forestry (Jhidi) of within the boundaries of Village Khiala Khurd alongwith fatal arms and ammunition from their custody. At the spot, 1 Pistol 12 Bore Desi with 2 live cartridges, One Gandasa 1 Khapra 1 knife 1 Iron Rod and 1 hand of Water hand pump (Nalka) alongwith 3 motorcycles have been recovered.

It became possible due to tight security arrangements and day and night vigil duties being given by the officials of District Police, Mansa which will be kept up in future also.

SSP Mansa told that on 21st of July, 2021, the staff of C.I.A. Mansa was on patrolling and were present near the Stadium of village Khiala Kalan. On receipt of information, Police party immediately moved to trace and round up the culprits at the spot. When they Spotted the culprits hiding behind the trees and bushes, they operated in a planned way and captured all the 6 members of the gang who were planning for a big event of robbery.

The arrested accused are Badal Singh @ Badal s/o Jagtar Singh Village Malakpur Khiala, Harjeet Singh @ Geeti s/o Balwinder Singh Village Khokhar Khurd, Sandeep Singh @ Mota s/o Binder Singh Village Birewala Jattan, Gurdip Singh @ Tuta s/o Bhag Singh village Rajgarh Kubbe (Bathinda), Boota Singh s/o Joginder Singh and Gulab Singh @ Kala s/o Jaskaran Singh both residents of village Phaphre Bhaike.

The Police have recovered the above mentioned fatal arms alongwith three Motorcycles (Hero Smart No.PB50A 5141, Bajaj Platina No.PB.08AR-6766 and Hero Honda Splender Pro without number plate). A case FIR No.214 dated 21.7.2021 under sections 399, 402,379 IPC and 25/54/59 of Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Sadar Mansa.

SSP Mansa Dr. Bhargav further told that all these accused are criminals against whom more than 9 heinous cases in various Police Stations of Punjab and other states have already been registered which are pending in various Courts.

Police remand of the arrested accused will be sought so that further investigation can be conducted to know about any other crimes committed by this gang and to know the detail of other cases registered against them.
