Learning License facility to start in 19 Type-2 Sewa Kendras by Jan end: Jalandhar DC Varinder Sharma

The Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma said that the service of learning license will be started in 19 type-2 Sewa Kendras of the district by the month end to facilitate the people.

Presiding over a meeting at District Administrative Complex today, Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr Jasbir Singh, said that the service will start in 19 Type II Sewa Kendras in the district and the service has already been initiated at Main Sewa Kendra at DC complex.

He said that these include Domaria Bridge, Khurla Kingra, Ladhewali, Guru Amar Dass Colony, Tubewell-2, Kot Sadiq, PIMS Jalandhar, Major Rohit Sharma Government School Model Town, Maqsudan Sabzi Mandi, Burlton Park, Mithu Basti, In Nakodar Suwidha Centre SDM Office, In Shahkot Dushhera Ground, Adampur BDPO Office, Alawalpur Near Bus Stand, In Phillaur Suwidha Centre SDM Office, EOCP Nurmahal, Bara Pind Road Goraya-2 and Bhogpur .

He said that staff of these Sewa kendras have undergone training.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that the requisite infrastructure arrangements including webcam, digital signature pad and others have been made available in these 29 centres.

He said that the launch of this service in the Kendras will ultimately benefit the people as they will have need to go to RTA office in Jalandhar and service will be made available to them in nearby Sewa Kendras.

He said that Sewa Kendra must ensure hassle-free service to the people.

He told that Sewa Kendras were opened by the state government to facilitate the people and any sort of laxity on their parts would not be tolerated at any cost.

DC said that zero-tolerance policy must be adopted against any sort of inordinate delay by the Sewa Kendras and stern action would be taken against management of Sewa Kendras if found negligent.

Mr Singh also added that there must not be any pendency of the applications in the Sewa Kendra.

On the occasion Sub Divisional Magistrates Mr Amit Kumar, Dr Sanjiv Sharma, Dr Jai Inder Singh and Mr Vineet Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Mr Hardeep Dhaliwal, Mr Amandeep Singh, District Revenue Officer Mr Jashanjeet Singh and others were also present.
