In the presence of Punjab Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Mr. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Lalita Saklani assumed the charge as the Chairperson of the District Planning board Kapurthala at the District Administrative Complex today .
On this occasion, the Cabinet Minister congratulated the newly appointed Chairperson and thanked the Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Bhagwant Mann for appointing a grass root level worker as chairperson .
He said that the party has set an example of clean politics by appointing Lalitha Saklani as chairperson .
He assured that the planning committee under the leadership of Lalita Saklani will ensure all-round development of the district.
Chairperson Lalita Saklani said that the planned development of the district will be her top priority.
She said that the planning board will prepare a blueprint for overall development of Kapurthala district by keeping in view the future challenges.
MLAs Dr. Ravjot, Jasbir Raja Gill, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Vishesh Sarangal, SSP Navneet Singh Bains, Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, General Secretary Aam Aadmi Party and other leaders congratulated the newly appointed Chairperson.
Earlier, a guard of honor was also given to the cabinet minister by a unit of Punjab Police.
On this occasion, Aam Aadmi Party senior leader Gurpal Singh, Manju Rana, former cabinet minister Joginder Singh Mann, Ranjit Singh Rana, Kanwar Iqbal Singh, Parminder Singh Dhot, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Paramjit Kaur, D.D.P.O. Harjinder Singh were present.
