Dr. Jaswinder Bhalla, retired PAU Professor, brand ambassador and a renowned Punjabi actor has been honoured with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ during an award show by the PTC.
The Vice Chancellor, Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, in his congratulatory message said that it’s a matter of great pride for the university that has not only made great international achievements in research but also carved a niche for itself in the world of Punjabi literature and culture, thanks to the multitalented Dr Bhalla; “A world renowned actor, Dr. Jaswinder Bhalla has been a pioneer in education as well as co-educational activities since his student life and he has cultivated his art through radio, television and films,” Dr Gosal remarked.
He further recalled the comical yet stunning performances of the duo; Jaswinder Bhalla and Bal Mukand Sharma who created their place in the hearts of the people through good constructive messages for betterment of the society.
PAU Additional Director of Communication Dr. Tejinder Singh Riar expressed delight at the honour bestowed on Dr Bhalla, who, he said has been playing a pivotal role for the upliftment of the farmers through strong and practical messages during the Kisan Melas as well as Doordarshan’s agricultural programs. He said Dr Bhalla’s recognition is being hailed by the entire agricultural fraternity.
Meanwhile an emotional Dr Bhalla, expressed gratitude at the honour bestowed on him and dedicated the same to PAU, his alma mater and the torch bearer that led him from strength to strength.
