Jalandhar Police solves Blind Murder Case – Accused who killed financier arrested: Gurpreet Singh Bhullar

The Commissionerate Police on Wednesday have solved the blind murder case of a money lender in Panchsheel Avenue in Cantonment locality on Tuesday nightnight within 12-hours.

The accused has been identified as Sunny of Mohalla Number-4 in Cantonment.

Addressing a press conference, Commissioner Of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said on Tuesday night, Munish Bansal of Mohalla Number-23, complained that the body of his uncle Tarsem Lal Aggarwal who had retired from Cantonment Board school, was lying on road in a badly mutilated condition.

Mr Bhullar said that on receiving the information, separate teams led by ADCP-2 Mr Parminder Singh Bhandal, ACP Cantonment Mr Ravinder Pal Singh, ACP Headquarters Mr Bimal Kant and others were formed to trace the accused.

He said that police teams conducted technical and scientific investigation and arrested Sunny from his home.

Mr Bhullar told that the victim Tarsem Chand Aggarwal was working as financier after the retirement and he had lent Rs 2.80 Lakh on interest to the accused for the treatment of his father three years ago which increased to Rs 5 Lakh after he failed to pay EMIs.

The Commissioner Of Police further added that Sunny somehow paid Rs 1.5 lakh to the victim and was paying interest on the pending amount of Rs 3.50 lakh due to which he was unable to meet daily needs of his family.

” Then the accused decided to eliminate him and on Tuesday night, when the victim came to his shop on his activa scooter where he was working, for EMI. The accused asked him to drop him in Labour Quarter in Sofi Pind”.

He said that when they reached near Labour Quarters, the accused stabbed 28- times on his back, abdomen and chest with knife.

Mr Bhullar added that the cops have also recovered the knife used in the crime and others.

He said that a case has been registered under sections 302 and 34 of IPC against the accused in Cantonment Police Station.
