Jalandhar ADC launches massive anti-drug mission and Tandrust Punjab Awareness drive by GNA University

Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kulwant Singh, who was officiating as Deputy Commissioner, today lauded stellar role being played by the educational institutions in generating awareness against drugs to eradicate this menace from the district.

Launching an anti-drug and Mission Tandarust Punjab awareness drive by the GNA University here today, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the anti-drug campaign including DAPO and Buddy along with the Mission Tandarust Punjab were aimed at ensuring the well being of the state.

He said that drugs was the formidable challenge being faced by our state now and each one of us should participate in this campaign with full vigor. Mr. Kulwant Singh said that combined effort by the students and educational institutions would be helpful in making Punjab a drug free state.

Lauding the efforts being made by GNA University for this noble cause, the Additional Deputy Commissioner this campaign would help in generating maximum awareness against the curse of drugs. He also complimented the faculty of GNA University for designing highly creative posters and banners for this awareness drive.

Mr. Kulwant Singh also assured fulsome support and cooperation to the university from district administration for this cause.

On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jasbir Singh, Sub Divisional Magistrate Ms. Shayari Malhotra, Under training IAS Mr. Varjeet Walia, Assistant Nodal Officer DAPO Mr. Surjit Lal, Vice Chancellor GNA Dr. VK Rattan, Pro Chancellor Mr. Gurdeep Singh, Dean Dr. Vikrant Sharma and others were also present.
