2019-batch IPS officer Maninder Singh on Monday formally took over as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rupnagar.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Maninder Singh said he would leave no stone unturned to ensure a clean, corruption-free, and transparent police administration in the district. He asserted that maintaining peace and law and order would remain the top priority, and no anti-social element would be allowed to disturb the district’s harmony.
The SSP said that strict measures would be adopted to curb drug abuse and that criminals involved in illegal and organised activities would face firm action. In view of the prevailing situation, he emphasised that effective strategies would be implemented to maintain law and order and counter organised crime.
He further stated that delivering timely justice to every deserving individual, in line with the policies of the Punjab Government, would be a key focus of the district police.
Appealing for public cooperation, SSP Maninder Singh expressed confidence that the residents of Rupnagar would actively support the police in maintaining peace, order, and effective governance across the district.
