The team of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) will also have to work with new ideas in the New Year 2022 to create more possibilities for progress. This message is from Vikas Garg, IAS officer, the 16th Vice Chancellor of IKGPTU. He was addressing his first meeting with officials at the university main campus on Thursday.
He said that there was no shortage of talented staff, teachers or technical staff in various technical education institutes in Punjab, but the work on idea sharing is need of the hour. In order to bring innovation, staff must be exchanged according to ability, qualification. Vice Chancellor IAS Officer Vikas Garg called for mutual understanding in the first meeting.
On this occasion, He also released the calendar for the New Year 2022 prepared by the public relations office of the university. Vice Chancellor Vikas Garg, IAS, who is also the Secretary, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, said that the University Calendar is a sign of proud association between the University and the Colleges. He also motivates the public relations office to spread awareness about the work being done in the interest of the students of the university.
During the first meeting the Vice Chancellor also got information about the preparations for the annual convocation to be held on 08 January 2022 at the main University. He also directs the authorities to take decisions in the interest of the students on priority basis and also to amend the policies related to them from time to time.
On this occasion the Registrar of the University Jaspreet Singh IAS, Finance Officer Dr. S.S. Walia, Controller Examinations Dr. Paramjit Singh, Dean Academic Dr. Vikas Chawla, Dean P&EP Dr. Yadwinder Singh Brar, Dean RIC Dr. RPS Bedi, Director College Development Dr. Balkar Singh were also present.
