Haryanvi pop artist Mitta Ror has opened up about his latest single, ‘Chehra’, a romantic track that explores the simple emotions, everyday moments and small gestures that make relationships meaningful.
Speaking to IANS, the singer said the love and response he has received for his music have continued to motivate him to create and experiment while staying connected with his audience.
“‘Chehra’ is a very special song for me because it explores the simple emotions that make relationships meaningful. I wanted it to feel fresh, honest and comforting, while still staying true to the sound and identity my audience connects with. I’m excited for the song to reach an even wider audience and hope listeners connect with the emotions in it,” Mitta said.
Explaining the inspiration behind the track, the singer said the idea came from the belief that when someone special is by your side, even ordinary moments can become memorable.
“I feel love is not always about doing big things for someone. Sometimes, it is about the smallest things, like teasing each other, having little arguments, caring for each other and just wanting to spend time together. I wanted to capture that kind of love in ‘Chehra’,” he said.
Mitta added that when people are in love, even the smallest things about their partner begin to feel special, and sometimes, simply seeing that person’s face is enough to brighten the day.
Talking about the song’s conceptualisation, the singer said he wanted to create a love song that felt real and relatable while retaining the distinctive style and desi swag associated with Haryanvi music.
“‘Chehra’ is about the kind of relationship where you can be completely yourself with someone, where there is love, care, nok-jhok and a lot of masti. You don’t always need grand gestures to show love. Sometimes, just being together is enough,” he explained.
He added that the team wanted the music video to reflect the same sentiment, keeping the chemistry between the performers and the emotions at the centre of the narrative.
The romantic track features vocalist Swara Verma and celebrates companionship, care, playful disagreements, affection and the comfort of being with someone who feels like home.
