The Haryana Police Housing Corporation has placed the services of its two officials under suspension on the charges of dereliction of duty in connection with construction of a Community Centre at Police Lines, Kaithal.
Managing Director, Haryana Police Housing Corporation, Mr K.K. Mishra, IPS has ordered the suspension of SDO (Civil) Sunil Verma and J.E. (Civil) Mr Deepak Kansal. In addition, M/s Dhandi Builders Limited, Mohali has been debarred for three years from participation in e-tendering process of the Corporation.
Both the officials were suspended on the recommendation of Superintendent of Police Kaithal, after finding negligence in performing their official duty. The incident pertains to use of expiry cement bags in the ongoing construction work of Community Centre at Police Lines, Kaithal by M/s Dhandi Builders. Both the officials had never checked the quality of construction work.
Mr Mishra said that action would be taken against the defaulters and delinquents, if found any negligence on their part in future.
It may be mentioned here that SP Kaithal had personally checked the construction work of Community Centre and found that contractor was using old and expiry cement bags. He also reported that both officials neither checked the quality of works nor informed the authority about the same. Following the complaint, both SDO and JE were suspended and contractor debarred for a period of three years.
