Mr Inder Mohan Singh, President of Dashmesh Sewa Society (Regd) and former member of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) reacted upon the recent serious allegations levelled by former DSGMC President Harvinder Singh Sarna in his viral video on social media against the Election Officer of Delhi Gurdwara Directorate for issuance of notices to former DSGMC President by taking bribe.
said that as per statement of Mr Sarna, the Election Officer posted in the Directorate of Gurdwara Elections after taking bribe and even without approval of the Gurdwara Director issued notices to both Sarna brothers for violation of Clause 14 of Gurdwara Rules, whereas the Election Director informed that the Gurdwara Election Directorate is not empowered to issue such notices.
Mr Inder Mohan Singh said that if there is truth in the said statement of Mr Sarna, then it is a clear case of misuse of government power which is a matter of great concern for the entire Sikh community.
He said that in such event, the Sarna brothers should immediate lodge police complaint and initiate legal proceedings against the said Election Officer so that government interference in the Sikh religious affairs could be stopped.
Mr Inder Mohan Singh said that if S. Sarna does not take any further action in this matter, then his statement will be treated as only a gimmick for misguiding the Sikh Sangat for which the Government should initiate immediate action by lodging F.I.R. against S. Harvinder Singh Sarna for making false serious allegations against a government official.
It is worthwhile to mention that the Gurdwara Election Directorate has recently issued notices to three former DSGMC Presidents Paramjit Singh Sarna, Harvinder Singh Sarna and Manjit Singh G.K. for supplying various articles worth lakh of rupees to the DSGMC in clear violation of Clause 14 of Gurdwara Rules.
