Four more leaders who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party after Punjab Assembly elections have now been provided security by Union Home Ministry.
These leaders have been provided ‘X’ category security.
Based on a security review by the Union Home Ministry, the leaders who have been provided security include three former Congress leaders,l while one is a former Akali leader.
Among the leaders who have got security are former minister Balbir Singh Sidhu and Gurpreet Singh Kangar. A former Congress leader and a former Chairman Amarjit Singh Tikka has also been provided security.
Akali leader Jagdeep Singh Nakai has also got ‘X’ level security. Nakai, won Joga assembly seat in 2002 and Maur assembly seat in 2007 as candidate of Shiromani Akali Dal.
