DSGMC to organize Relief Camps, provide Langar, Medicines for victims of Delhi Violence

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has decided to organized relief camps for victims of Delhi violence and provide langar and medicines to the needy.

Disclosing this in a statement released here today, the DSGMC President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that an emergency meeting of the DSGMC was held today in which these decision have been taken to work as per the message given by for service of humanity.

He said that the DSGMC will organize relief camps in violence hit areas. It will also provide langar to families of police personnel and all the persons who are admitted in Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital irrespective of their religion. He said that they may be Hindu or Muslim but we are directed by Guru Sahib to serve Humanity.

He said that the DSGMC will use all its resources to serve these victims because we understand their pain as in 1984 Sikh genocide we had faced the same.

Mr. Sirsa said that Guru Sahib has told us to consider all human as equal and we will try to defuse the crisis by mediating with the people. He said that medical camps will provide all the required medicines to the needy. He said that the DSGMC thinks that god should not give such pain to anyone.

He said that all the DSGMC representatives, members and staff will serve in these relief camps and langars to serve all the people who are affected by this tragedy. He said that it is most painful to see that people are suffering due to violence even when are not guilty in anyway.

He also disclosed that apart from these relief measured, the DSGMC will also organize relic camps in various Gurudwara Sahib and a special camp at Gurudwara Majnu Ka Tilla where relics will be provided to Sangat.

The meeting was attended by General Secretary Harmeet Singh Kalka, legal Cell Chairman Jagdeep Singh Kahlon, Parmjit Singh Chandok, Harwinder Singh KP, Vikram Singh, Bhupinder Singh Bhullar besides other office bearers and members.
