New Delhi, October 9, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)
Delhi Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ashok Kumar said on Friday that documents had been verified in 17,03,515 cases involving “no-mapping” and “logical discrepancy” after collecting documents from voters who received notices under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The CEO assured voters that all notices, claims and objections would be disposed of by November 30, in accordance with the SIR schedule. The final electoral roll for the National Capital Territory of Delhi will be published on December 4.
In a statement, the CEO’s office said all eligible electors who submit Form-6 along with the requisite documents will be included in the electoral roll. Voters who have not availed themselves of services at special camps can submit forms, including Form-6, physically to Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and designated locations at polling stations until October 30.
Special camps were organised at all polling station locations across Delhi on Friday to facilitate voters. Camps were also held for residents of colonies demolished recently, including Jailorwala Bagh in the Wazirpur Assembly constituency, as well as S-Block, A-Block, U-Block and N-Block in Mangolpuri.
A special camp for the registration of transgender electors was organised at Indian Adult Education in I.P. Estate on Friday.
“Similar camps for registration of Left Out Electors will continue to be held in Delhi during ongoing SIR. All eligible electors whose names are not present in the draft electoral roll published on 31.08.2026 are requested to visit these camps to enrol themselves in the electoral rolls,” the statement said.
Earlier, on Wednesday and Thursday, the CEO organised special camps at colleges and universities across the national capital as part of a two-day initiative. BLOs assisted students in filling out the required forms for voter registration, addressed queries about the SIR process and collected completed applications.
The poll body also said BLOs would conduct house-to-house visits to identify eligible electors whose names were missing from the draft electoral roll and facilitate their enrolment through Form-6, wherever applicable.
In accordance with Election Commission instructions issued on October 1, a special drive is being conducted to enrol all eligible electors left out of the voters’ list.
The Election Office has also urged electors whose names may have been included in the Absent, Shifted, Dead and Duplicate (ASDD) category during BLOs’ house-to-house visits to submit Form-6 for enrolment if they believe they are eligible. The ASDD list is available on the website of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi.
Electors whose names do not appear in the draft electoral roll can file Form-6 with supporting documents during the claims and objections period, which began on August 31 and will continue until October 30.
The CEO’s office said BLOs were also visiting electors who had been issued notices to collect their documents, allowing them to avoid travelling to offices for hearings.
All notices, claims and objections will be resolved by November 30, and the final electoral roll will be published on December 4, as scheduled.
