Covid hit Ludhiana ACP Anil Kohli cremated – Dignitaries, Officers pay homage

Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal today termed the untimely demise of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr Anil Kohli due to Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) as tragic and said that his loss would never be filled. Mr Kohli was cremated with full state honours at the cremation ground near Dholewal, here today.

The ACP’s cremation was also attended by Member of Parliament Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu, MLA Ludhiana (East) Mr Sanjay Talwar, Mayor Mr Balkar Singh Sandhu, Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, besides several others.

Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal informed that ACP Mr Anil Kohli was an honest officer and was known in the police force for performing all his duties with utmost devotion and honesty. He informed that Mr Kohli was committed to his job and even during the COVID 19 outbreak, he performed his duty with utmost devotion.

He also appealed to all officers and personnel of Ludhiana Police to never forget the sacrifice of ACP Mr Anil Kohli and should work even harder to score victory over COVID 19. He said that Punjab Police is known for its bravery and said that he feels proud of Ludhiana Police.

He also appealed to the Ludhiana Police to ensure that they follow all directions issued by the Health Department regarding COVID 19 while performing their duty. He also asked them to maintain social distancing, repeatedly keep washing hands after some time, use sanitiser and face mask.
