Capt Amarinder to skip NITI AAYOG Meeting?

Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh is likely to skip the meeting of NITI AAYOG’s governing council scheduled for June 15 in the national capital.

At least two Punjabi news channels quoting sources said, Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal would be representing the state during the highly important meeting.

The programme of the Chief Minister has been changed citing his health reasons, it has been learnt.

Earlier it was said that the Chief Minister would be attending the meeting. The CM who was on a vacation in Himachal Pradesh, had returned to Chandigarh.

Sources had also disclosed that Capt Amarinder would be there in the national capital a day ahead of the NITI AAYOG meeting and would meet party leadership including senior leader Ahmed Patel who has been tasked by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to iron out the differences between Amarinder and Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu.
