Canada-Based Poet Paramvir Singh Interacted with Audience At 32nd Creative Process Organized by Naad Pragaas

Amritsar,March 22, 2026(Yes Punjab News)

At the head office of the research institution Naad Pragaasu, the 32nd session of its ongoing monthly “Creative Process” series was आयोजित, featuring an interactive session with Canada-based Punjabi diaspora poet Paramvir Singh. Prominent personalities from the literary world participated in the event.

On this occasion, Paramvir Singh stated that a poet carries an inner emptiness, which drives them to remain continuously engaged in creative expression. His poems, he noted, are reflections of this very emptiness. He also addressed the growing crisis of repetition within the Punjabi literary sphere. During the session, he recited selected poems from his published works.

Presiding over the event, Dr. Sukhbir Kaur Mahal remarked that a poet should remain conscious not only of their creative expression but also of the structure of their poetic articulation. In the absence of such awareness, poetic expression risks becoming limited to personal inclinations rather than connecting with the totality of human life.

Members of the audience also engaged in a question-and-answer session with Paramvir Singh regarding his published works, and some of his poems were presented in musical form.

At the conclusion of the event, the Director of the institution, Prof. Jagdish Singh, thanked the students and guests in attendance. He emphasized that a poet should not confine themselves to expressing personal or social suffering alone, but should also awaken meanings that transcend human existence, thereby allowing poetry to attain universal significance.

The event was hosted by Punjabi poet Surinder Singh.
