As per the directions of Hon’ble S. Harvinder Singh Virk, PPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar Rural, a significant success has been achieved by Police Station Lambra under the special campaign being conducted against anti-social elements, drug smugglers, thieves and looters in Jalandhar Rural district.
Three accused who robbed a petrol pump at gunpoint have been arrested by SI Gurmeet Ram, SHO Police Station Lambra and his police team under the leadership of Shri Sarabjit Rai, PPS, Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Jalandhar Rural and Shri Narinder, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Kartarpur.
While informing the press in this regard, Shri Narinder, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Kartarpur said that on 08.12.2025, cash was snatched at gunpoint by some unknown persons at Raj & Vij Petrol Pump located in village Dhaliwal Kadia. In this regard, a case No. 159 dated 09.12.2025 under Sections 311, 61(2) BNS and 25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Lambra and an investigation was started.
During the investigation of the above case, on the basis of intelligence information, ASI Baljinder Singh arrested three accused on 13.12.2025, who have been identified as *Shammi Hans alias Tori, son of Ranjit Hans, resident of village Gakhla, Babrik alias Baby, son of Joginderpal, resident of village Gakhla, Pankaj Kumar alias Panku, son of Jeet Lal, resident of village Safipur.*
During the arrest of the accused, ₹10,500/- Indian currency and a toy pistol have been recovered from them.
The arrested accused are being produced in the Honorable Court and further legal action is being taken. Further interrogation is going on and it is also being investigated whether the accused are involved in any other criminal incident.
Such action will continue in future also by the District Jalandhar Rural Police to ensure the safety of the common people.
