MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla today handed over the bridge built on Jethuwal drain to the people. MP Aujla said that he had received a demand for this bridge since 2017, which he has fulfilled today and widened it.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that when he became an MP in 2017, after that when he visited these villages, there was always a demand from the people to widen the narrow bridge of Jethuwal drain.
After which he got an estimate made for this and after repeated efforts, it was approved in 2022 and then an estimate was made for it. After which it was built by the Mandi Board and now it has been handed over to the people.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that the road of this narrow bridge goes to many villages and links to Mehta but there was always a danger.
The old bridge was only 3.05 meters wide while the new bridge has been built 8.20 meters wide. About 3.51 crores have been spent on it and its length is 34 meters. MP Aujla said that this bridge is almost complete but there are still some technical issues which have been informed to the concerned officials and they will also be completed soon.
MP Aujla said that there were always accidents on the old bridge but now he is happy that people will get relief and the road leading to the villages will be clean and safe.
MP Aujla, while dedicating the bridge to the people, said that he has always been dedicated to the work of the people and wants that those projects should be brought from the center which can make the life of the people easier along with the development of the city.
He said that if people have any work, he is always present for it and his office is always open. People should give him information so that he can get as much work done in the area as possible.
