In a statement released here today, PEP President Sukhpal Singh Khaira alleged that latest reports emerging about four members of the SIT probing sacrilege incidents do not agree with the challan presented by IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, is nothing but a clever ploy of Capt. Amarinder Singh and DGP Dinkar Gupta to completely torpedo the investigations and to provide a formidable defence to culprits Sukhbir Badal, Parkash Singh Badal and Sumedh Saini.
Khaira alleged now that Lok Sabha elections are over and Capt. Amarinder Singh and the Congress have reaped rich dividends over the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and Behbal killings by clinching 8 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab, CM and DGP have hatched a conspiracy to derail the SIT findings to ultimately provide a clean chit to their friends Badals and Sumedh Saini.
Khaira said this is total breach of faith with the Sikhs which amounts to back stabbing the sentiments of the Punjabi’s at large. Khaira said that the four members of the SIT including its chief could never have dared to openly disagree with the investigation of IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, without the blessings of Capt. Amarinder Singh and the DGP Dinkar Gupta.
Khaira stated that it is common knowledge now that Capt. Amarinder Singh and the Badal family are playing a friendly match in Punjab, as the Congress government has flatly refused to initiate any inquiry against the corrupt misdeeds of Badals during the last 10 years of their misrule nor has Capt. Amarinder Singh ordered any probe against drug tainted Ex Minister Bikram Majithia, despite massive hue and cry by large number of Congress MLA’s both within and outside the Vidhan Sabha.
Khaira said now Navjot Sidhu a senior Cabinet Minister has also corroborated our allegations by publically alleging a deep nexus between the Badals and Capt. Amarinder Singh, at a rally in Bathinda during the fag end of the campaign.
Khaira demanded that Capt. Amarinder Singh should take strict action against the erring four members of the SIT for violating police discipline and going public against the findings of SIT despite the challan presented in the court at Faridkot.
Khaira also demanded immediate filing of criminal charges and FIR against Sukhbir Badal, Parkash Singh Badal and Sumedh Saini for their conspiracy into sacrilege incidents of 2015, as brought out by the SIT.
In case Capt. Amarinder Singh and the DGP fail to initiate criminal proceedings against the Badals, it would be presumed that he and the Badals are hand in glove to reap cheap political gains over a sensitive issue of Guru Granth Sahib ji sacrilege and Behbal Kalan killings.
